Dear Lindsay, Thanks so much for creating this blog, and for your continued study and leadership for us. It is truly in the spirit of Astanga, and offers us much more than the wonderful Asana and Pranayama you give us in class.
Which versions of The Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutra do you recommend? I have the Graham Schweig Gita- which is fairly new, and has some really good annotation as well. I've studied several versions of the Sutras, and the version I like now - also for the annotations and commentary - is "Inside the Yoga Sutra" by Rev. Jaganath Carrera. - Maybe less poetic than other versions, but the commentary is wonderful. What do you recommend?
I noticed that the opening and closing prayers you have on your page have moved to this location, which now seems to be an official website for Patabi Jois:

You are a wonderful new light in my life, and I am privileged and honored to find you and a new home now at A2 Yoga. Namaste - Robert
HI Robert,
Thank you so very much for your kind words. They mean so very much to me, truly.
My apologies for disappearing from the Mon/Wed classes. This was not really my decision. I called in sick on Monday (with plenty of time to find a sub, and this apparently upset Ana to the point that she immediately, with no warning, gave up my Mon/Wed classes to other teachers, but said that I can still teach the Saturday class, if I want to. Not really sure I understand the logic. But oh well. This is the Universe unfolding as it should be.
I am having to go look for other classes to teach, in order to keep my income treading water. I'll keep everyone updated if anything comes in that looks promising.
As for the recommended versions of the Gita and the Yoga stutras, the ones that you mention are indeed good texts. I can email/message you about other good translations tomorrow.
Have a wonderful evening!
Namaste,
-Lindsay
